Eligibility Criteria:

Candidature Type. –

(1) Maharashtra State Candidate – A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.
A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.

TypeEligibility Criteria
TYPE-A(i) Candidates passing SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State;
(ii) Candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/ or is born in Maharashtra
TYPE-BA Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possess Domicile Certificate.
TYPE-CA Candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP.
TYPE-DA Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.
TYPE-ECandidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi. The 865 village of Maharashtra Karnataka Border area notified by the State Government for this purpose shall be considered

(2) All India Candidature. -The Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible under this Category.
(3) Minority Candidature – The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.

Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National – These types of Candidature Candidates are exempted from appearing for MHT-CET 2023.

Note:-
(a) It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2023 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech. However All India Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET 2023 as Score of JEE(Main) shall be preferred over MHT-CET 2023 for admission to B.E./B.Tech.

(b) It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2023 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.Pharm/ Pharm.D. However All India Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET 2023 as Score of NEET-2023 shall be preferred over MHTCET 2023 for admission to B.Pharm. Pharm. D

Qualification Criteria:

First Year – Engineering & Technology :

Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates. –

(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or
Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, For OBC/ SC/ ST/ EWS/ VJ/ NT belonging to Maharashtra State), in the above subjects taken together; and the Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority;
or
(ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, For OBC/ SC/ ST/ EWS/ VJ/ NT belonging to Maharashtra State);

All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates. –

  1. Pass HSC or its equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  2. Pass the above qualifying examination with Physics & Mathematics as a compulsory subject along with one of the Biotechnology/ Biology/ Chemistry/ Technical/Vocational subjects.
  3. candidate obtaining non zero positive score in JEE (Main) B.E./B.Tech .

First Year- Pharmacy:

 
Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates. –
 
(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;
 
(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ VJ/ NT belonging to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together;
 
(iii) Should have appeared in all the subjects and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.
 
All India Candidature Candidates. –
 
1.Should obtain non zero positive score in NEET or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.
 

First Year – Pharm D. :

 
(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates, –
 
(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;
 
(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at
least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of OBC/ SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ EWS belonging to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together;
 
or
 
(ii) Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of OBC/ SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ EWS belonging to Maharashtra State);
 
(iii) The candidate should have appeared in all the subjects and obtained non zero score in the CET conducted by the Competent Authority.
 
All India Candidature Candidates, –
 
The candidate should have obtained non zero positive score in the NEET or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.
